The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum became stage for an unlikely performance that you will most definitely not be able to forget any time soon.
Thanks to the United States Air Force Band who set up a one-of-a-kind Holiday Flash Mob, everyone who as at the museum that day got to enjoy a free, memorable performance from some of the best musicians in the world.
The band started their performance with a mesmerizing rendition of “What Child Is This?” a song that you may also know as “Green-sleeves.” The band of musicians took over the entire ground floor, but that was just the beginning of their incredible flash mob performance.
Soon, more musicians joined for the second song in their routine: “Carol of the Bells”. The best thing about this video, besides the music, of course, has to be the look on people’s faces as they see more and more musicians coming out of nowhere to entertain them and offer them a memory they will never forget.
This performance definitely made visitors’ day at the museum even more magical, and we’re lucky to be able to enjoy it as well – even if it’s just via video.
