Walk Through This Beautiful Tiny Home. A Single Mom Built It After Losing Her Home in Divorce

For almost two decades, Michelle “MJ” Boyle lived from one paycheck to another. As a single mom raising two kids, she found it impossible to put food on the table, buy clothes, pay rent and all the utilities, and still save part of the income.
But when her two kids were ready to leave the nest, be independent, and start their own lives, Michelle decided it was about high-time to start thinking about her future as well. With retirement not so far down the line, Michelle wanted to make sure that she will able to lead a comfortable life.
So she decided to build a tiny house that would allow her to save some money and still have a comfortable lifestyle. She wanted a place that no one could take from her; a place that would be all hers. And that’s exactly what this project offered her.
Her tiny home gave her a sense of independence and freedom, because she didn’t have to take up on a huge loan to build it. “I have been married twice, I had been divorced twice, I have built two houses and I lost the houses basically in the carnage of my divorces,” she says in the video below.
She didn’t want to have to go through the tragedy of losing her home once again. Using some of her own savings and sponsorship, Michelle managed to pay for her house in full. What’s more, she even built a few other tiny homes which she now rents for extra money.
