Tenzin Gyatso His Holiness, the fourteenth Dalai Lama, is the spiritual leader of Tibet and temporal. He was born on July 6, 1935, in a small farming village in the province of Amdo. At the age of two years he has been revealed as the incarnation of his predecessor, the great thirteenth Dalai Lama. At the age of four and a half, Tenzin Gyatso is brought to the Tibetan capital of Lhasa, and installed on the throne as supreme temporal and spiritual head of Tibet. Childhood has spent mostly in the company of monks and disciples, making her family rarely visits his native village.
