In large planes, there is a somewhat secret compartment, called the Crew Rest Compartment. This CRC (the abbreviation used by the flight attendants) has, on the outside, a door that looks exactly like a toilet door, just having an intercom at the entrance. Access is made only on the basis of a known crew code, so we do not wake up as a passenger mistakes the door and gets over the crew when he’s asleep. The CRC has inside, besides resting beds, TVs, headphones, smoke masks, oxygen masks, flashlights and fire extinguishers. So if an emergency is on board and part of the crew is in the Crew Rest Compartment, they are safe and can be saved.
