You probably already know that the German Shepherd Dog is one of America’s most popular dog breeds. They are famous for their long limbs, athletic allure and physical abilities. They are medium to large-sized dogs, with the breed standard height at the withers is 60–65 cm (24–26 in) for males and 55–60 cm (22–24 in) for females.
Generally speaking, they are tall dogs with imposing statures. But there are some adorable exceptions to this rule, as you are about to find out by watching the video below.
Everybody, meet Mikeygus! The pup looks very different from other fellow German Shepherds, and it’s adorable in every single way! You see, Mikeygus was actually born with Dwarfism, a genetic disorder that affects dogs in pretty much the same way as humans.
The condition which is predominately found in purebred German Shepherd decreases the natural production on growth hormones. As a result, the dogs who have this condition just stop growing at an early age.
It’s what happened in the case of Mikeygus who now looks like an adorable mix between a Corgi and a German Shepherd.
But despite his short legs that sometimes make it harder for him to run as fast as he would want, Mikeygus is a happy little dog. He has a lot of energy and spends most of his days chasing chickens and just having a ball with his human friends. He just never gives up and lives each day to the fullest!
Have you ever seen a German Shepheard that looks like this before?
