Rachael Leahcar is a singer and songwriter from Adelaide, Australia. Her voice is the one of an angel, but also hides a painful secret.
Rachel was diagnosed at birth with retinitis pigmentosa and was declared legally blind. According to the United States National Library of Medicine, the disease she sufferers from affects one in every 4000 people. Although the disease caused Rachel many suffering, she was still able to follow her dreams.
She started taking music lessons when she was 9 and spent all of her childhood playing various instruments, including piano and flute. At 18 she went to a famous talent contest. Since then she has released three albums.
