Whether we allow ourselves to admit it or not, there is no denying the fact that we live in a world that seems to be more and more obsessed with the illusion of perfection. We want perfect skin, the perfect house, the perfect relationship, the perfect home, and the list could go on forever.
The worst part is that many of us tend to impose the same standards of perfection even when it comes to pets. Take Casper, the adorable little pup in the video below, as an example.
The all-white Siberian Husky was born with a condition called swimmer’s syndrome that involves the puppy’s limbs being splayed laterally. Because of this condition, Casper was unable to stand and thus was immediately labeled as “impossible to sell” by his breeder. As it usually happens in these cases, the breeder just didn’t know what to do with him.
Puppies who end up in Casper’s situation usually get euthanized, but Casper was lucky enough to meet someone who wanted to give him another chance and took him to a vet. That’s when the pup’s story takes a turn for the better. Although he had the dog had the odds stacked against him, he managed to make a surprising recovery. And just look at him now!
Not only did Casper manage to stand up on his own, but he’s every bit as energetic and charismatic as any dog that was born perfectly healthy. His story is truly inspiring, so please take a moment to share it with others!
