Sir Anthony Hopkins watched Dutch violinist Andre Rieu bring the waltz the actor had written as a nineteen-year old soaring into life at the prestigious Belverdere Palace in Vienna.
The Silence of the Lambs star Hopkins, and his wife Stella Arroyave, attended the premiere of the piece, And The Waltz Goes On, the performance of which was met with rapturous applause.
Sir Anthony is recognised worldwide as one of the finest screen performers of his generation – lighting up the screen in movies such as Silence of the Lambs, Shadowlands and Nixon; however, a fact that is less well known is that he is also an accomplished composer, and devotes much of his time to writing music.
