When 77-year-old Frances Buzzard began working as a janitor for Belle Elementary School in West Virginia, she didn’t expect to gain a place in the hearts of so many of the students going to school there.
Frances didn’t think she was doing anything special: she just showed up to work every day, was friendly with everyone with whom she crossed paths and did the best work she could. But it didn’t take long for people to notice how kind and how dedicated Frances was.
Despite her advanced age, the woman never slacked off and always had a kind word to say to everyone. Everyone from the school’s principal to the students was impressed by the woman’s work ethic, so they decided to put together a surprise that she will never forget.
Over 200 students surprised Frances on her birthday in the school’s cafeteria when she least expected it, and the entire moment was caught on video. The woman’s reaction is one of the best things I’ve seen in a while. Believe it or not, this was the first birthday party she ever had in her entire life, so the celebration was extra special.
