Just Before AGT Finals, Fans Hit with Worst News About Young Teen Contestant

America’s Got Talent is an amazing place where talented people of all ages can showcase their abilities, get noticed, and start their careers. So when Evie Clair first stepped on stage and saw all the judges, she knew that it could be the beginning of something great.
And she was determined to give it her best. And that’s exactly what she did. The girl who grew up in a tiny town in Arizona sang “Arms” by Christina Perri, and totally impressed the judges, as well as all of the other members of the audience.
Then, with tears in her eyes, Evie dedicated the song who always reminded her of home to her dad battling cancer. Sadly, her dad was only given a 5% chance of survival. But despite the tragedy that was affecting her family, Evie was able to deliver an incredible performance that showcased just how incredibly talented she is.
The girl managed to advance further in the competition. In fact, she made it all the way to the finals. But sadly Evie will have to deliver her final performance on September 19 without her father in the audience or watching from the hospital room.
Christina announced the passing of her father in a heartbreaking message she posted on social media soon after the man died. “I’ll miss you so much, Daddy. Thanks for teaching me to love salsa and chicken wings and most of all the Lord. Love you lots. RIP: 9/7/17. Say a prayer, a prayer on forever. Time is only now. Soon we’ll be together.’ I hope I made you proud, Daddy. I’ve always done it for you and I’ll do it for you forever,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
It’s hard to imagine what Evie must be going through, but there’s no doubt that her daddy is watching her from above and continues to support her from Heaven.
